This class is FULL.  Thank you for your interest.

Are you frustrated with the never-ending thinning and wear from heavy use on your natural grass fields?  Does it seem Mother Nature never cooperates when fields need to be in play?  Do you feel like there’s nothing you can do?

There is HOPE!!!  This MRPA training session WILL help!!!

Natural grass fields CAN host more events.  In all weather conditions.  New, creative, budget responsible solutions can improve natural grass field quality and meet the demand for increased use.  Designed for Directors and Maintenance Supervisors along with front line staff and supported by the Natural Grass Advisory Group, Maryland SoccerPlex, and the TORO Company, this training session will provide an overview of new solutions and create a range of new possibilities for natural grass fields.

Presentation Objectives and Benefits:  Attendees at all levels of Parks will be provided with usable, innovative solutions for natural grass field maintenance.

1)    Explore the three Keys to High Quality, High Use Natural Grass fields

2)    Introduce A Range of Creative Cultivation Techniques

3)    Examine Improved Genetic Technology for Grass Varieties

4)    Summarize A Range of New Re-habilitation and Construction Techniques

These solutions will each help participants begin to tackle the ongoing challenge of maintaining, rehabilitating, and constructing high-use natural grass fields.

This workshop will be hands on so participants will have an opportunity to work with the equipment and experience first-hand how to properly manage your play fields. This is the first of several workshops offered for Facility and Maintenance staff.

Cost: $25/person before 8/11; then $35 (includes continental breakfast and lunch)
