Speaker John Fieseler, Executive Director, Tourism Council of Frederick County, Inc. In his role with Frederick County John has overseen significant growth in tourism and the dollars it brings to the area including Frederick County Parks.

Identify opportunities to develop partnerships with other recreation and parks departments, local businesses, historical interest groups, educational institutions and community members for developing partnerships for heritage tourism. Recognize how delivery of these programs can be expanded in your area providing an economic benefit to the community.

12:30 p.m. MRPA Website Tutorials, Networking and Lunch
Celebrate fall with a BBQ lunch including beef brisket, pulled chicken, coleslaw, macaroni and cheese and soft drinks. Vegetarian and gluten free options available upon request.
After lunch partake of heritage tourism in action with a tour Rose Hill Manor Park & Children’s Museum (compliments of Frederick County Division of Parks and Recreation) just a short drive (10 min.) away. Or enjoy the beauty of the Ballenger Creek Park with a walk on the one mile natural walking path which passes by the dog park.
- The property features a manor house, icehouse, log cabin, blacksmith shop, carriage collection, and two barns.
