Learn the standards of facility management from three unique Howard County indoor facilities including the Roger Carter Community Center, Robinson Nature Center and Miller Branch Library and Historic Center.  Facility managers will review their standards of excellence that create a quality experience for visitors and make each facility one of the top visited facilities in the County.  Attendees will learn to identify ADA access needs, operation and legal standards, maintenance needs and how to aid in environmental sustainability and recycling efforts.

 

Review CAPRA Standards related to Facility Management including ADA Site Audits, Maintenance Operations Management Standards, Facility Legal Requirements, Preventative Maintenance Plans, Environmental Sustainability Policy and Program, Recycling and Zero Waste Plan, and Capital Asset Depreciation and Replacement Schedule. Guided discussion on the importance of meeting standards and the criteria for meeting standards.
