MRPA Fall General Membership Meeting
"Professional Development, Should I Do It For Credits, CEUs, My Job or ME?"
Presenter: Maureen Dougherty, PhD
In a classic win-win scenario, all of the stakeholders in the situation will "win" as a result of their joint effort. In the case of professional development, whether the learning is intended to benefit the employee in their current position, to help prepare them for some future position, or simply to help broaden their knowledge, skills and abilities, there is a direct benefit to the individual, the organization, and the profession as a whole. Learning how to approach professional development strategically and intentionally, and in partnership with your respective stakeholders, can be the key to successfully achieving your desired winning scenario.
