A How-To Guide To Geocaching (.4 CEUs)

Over 6 million geocachers worldwide are using multi-million dollar satellites to hunt for tupperware in the woods!

Learn how you can use this GPS-based recreational activity to bring new customers to your area and interpret historical and resources.  Geocaching is an easy and cheap way for families and individuals to get outside, explore their world and get active!  Review the history and basics of geocaching, how to program it for your customers, and go searching for some active geocaches. Topics also include examples and resources for managing the potential impacts of geocaching on public property.

Come prepared for a presentation outdoors.

Optional: bring a CPS unit or smartphone with geocaching app.

Light breakfast and box lunch included. If you require special accommodations or have special dietary needs, please contact Karen Potter at 410-313-4546 at least 14 days in advance so appropriate arrangements can be made.
